Saturday, from 10am to 12pm Children's workshop (ages 6-13) The workshop will be held in the Shot Tower next to Crane Park Island Nature Reserve and forms part of the London Wildlife Trust Crane Park Island Project. The nearest access is off Ellerman Avenue, Whitton. Come along if you would like to take part in a herb hunt, learn more about some of our everyday allies and help us print a giant plant!

Sunday from 1.30pm, in conjunction with the FORCE Open Day Display: Medicinal Plants - not wayside weeds! And you might have thought Dandelion was just a common weed! Learn more about some every day plants and their amazing medicinal uses. The display will also provide you with an opportunity to learn a bit more about Traditional Western Herbal Medicine. It will also provide you with an opportunity to chat to your local herbalist before and after the herb walk, about all things herb and health related! Herb Walk at approximately 3.30pm The herb walk is scheduled to last for approximately one hour and will follow a small circular route between the Marsh Farm Allotments, Rifle Club and Craneford Fields. The booking sheet for the walk will be located by the medicinal plant display. Most of the terrain to be covered should be suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, however there are places of unevenness and you are advised to wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Children should be accompanied by their parent/s or guardian/s. Sunday from 11am Herb Walk Bergitte will be leading a herb walk on Crane Park Island Nature Reserve as part of their 21st Anniversary celebrations, and hosting a display in the Shot Tower. Crane Park Island Nature Reserve is managed by the London Wildlife Trust. The Island is made up of a rich mosaic of woodland, scrub, meadow, reedbed and river bank. The walk will provide you with an opportunity to learn more about the medicinal plants growing in the reserve. The walk is due to commence at 12pm and will last for approximately one to one-and-a-half hours. The booking sheet for the walk will be located in the Shot Tower. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate to the weather on the day. Children should be accompanied by their parent/s or guardian/s. Display on Herbal Medicine The display on herbal medicine will take a closer look at some of the plants covered during the walk on Crane Park Island Nature Reserve and will provide you with an opportunity to learn a bit more about Traditional Western Herbal Medicine. It will also provide you with an opportunity to chat to your local herbalist about all things herb and health related!

The walk is scheduled to take place along the river side path, which can be uneven and muddy (weather depending) and along the upper tarmaced path. Twickenham Riverside
