Bergitte is a qualified medical herbalist.  She strongly believes in the relationship that exists between the patient, practitioner and plants, and that optimum healing occurs through all three working together.  Her main practice is located on the Whitton/Hounslow border, she also practices from the Maple Leaf Clinic on Twickenham Green.

Bergitte has always had a deep interest in health and in plants.  She trained as a herbalist at the Scottish School of Herbal Medicine, completing their extensive four year BSc (Hons) training programme and obtaining over 500 hours of clinical experience at a number of student clinics and well established private practices.  Her first degree was a BSc in Botany and Zoology, obtained at Stellenbosch University, South Africa.  Bergitte also spent a few years working for various organisations, gaining experience of different work cultures and industry sectors.  She has worked for both large and small organisations, along with having worked at blue chip companies and in the government and charity sector.  This has enriched her practice through an enhanced understanding of the demands and pressures which are placed on people.

Bergitte is a registered member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists.  She is also qualified in aromatherapy and massage (Diploma in Holistic Massage & Aromatherapy (ITEC)), elements of this may be incorporated into your treatment if appropriate.

Herbal Medicine is Safe, Effective and Sustainable.  It helps to treat the underlying cause of the dis-ease, and not just the symptoms.  In combination with nutritional and lifestyle advice herbal medicine offers longer term healing and improved health.
